Administrative Tasks

Assistant Director with varies assignments: Newsletters, Volunteer applications, phone calls, data entry, emails correspondence and other tasks needed.

No experience and 18 years of age and up.

Wellness Assistant

This position requires no experience, just passion to learn and help others. You will be assisting the dietitian in our wellness program. Helping with food demos and handing out surveys and collecting them and checking in students. Can earn C/S hours or credit for school, 18 years of age and up.

Garden Volunteer

Assist with our Garden at the Patchogue Community Garden

Give one to two hours per week.

The tasks depend on what stage we are in during the season. Mainly, watering, weeding and planting and harvesting. It is a wonderful place, and you will gain a lot of experience. The garden also offers classes during the season.

MEAL EVENTS (Easter, Thanksgiving and Dec Holidays)

Plan and coordinate * Help at events-set up and break down. Serving meals and helping to clean up.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Help spread the word about Harmony Café. Create relationships with community groups and organizations. Set up meetings with organizations/groups and introduce harmony café’s mission and vision. Invite organizations and groups to our events.

Social Media

Create engaging posts for social media channels.

Videographer and/or Photographer

Some experience required.

HARMONY CAFÉ BOARD of DIRECTORS

Requires at least 3 to 4 hours of commitment monthly, in addition to board meetings held 3 to 4 times per year. Looking for people who have a passion for community change. Experience is preferred.
